How do I prepare for a BAREglow?

Exfoliate, shave & moisturize the day before. If your skin is naturally on the dry side, start the exfoliation process 1- 2 days before. .

How soon before my trip or event should I get tanned?

We recommend tanning 1-2 days prior to your event or trip.

TIP: If sunless tanning is new to you we always recommend a trial tan at least 3 weeks (or more) before your big event or trip. We always recommend getting your BAREglow with time so that you are still in town the day after we tan you, in the event your tan needs adjusting you are still in town for us to get your tan fixed.

How long will my BAREglow last?

Our tans last about 5-7 days. The tan develops only on the top layer of the skin and we shed that layer every 5-10 days therefore your sunless tan falls when we naturally shed or exfoliate. Deep hydration is key to making your tan last longer.

How can I prolong or upkeep my BAREglow?

We provide our clients with a couple of options to help maintain a beautiful glow year round without the sun damage.

Why can’t I shave the day of my BAREglow?

The shaving process removes the top layer of the skin as well as the aminos on that top layer. Those same aminos are what the DHA (the active ingredient) in the tanning solution need to create the tan. If you are making a last minute appointment you are able to shave 4hrs before your BAREglow session, just not right before your session.

Can I get a mani/pedi before my BAREglow?

Yes you can. Getting a mani/pedi after your tan can negatively affect your tan if they exfoliate/scrub your legs/hands.

What should I wear during my BAREglow?

Anything you feel comfortable in. Most of our female clients tan in undies (thong) & bandeau bra or completely bare, our male clients tan in boxers, shorts or speedos (male clients must wear something that covers the private area. Just know whatever you choose to tan in will transition into a tan line. If you are going for a sun tan look, wearing a swimsuit is also a client favorite.

What should I wear after my BAREglow?

Loose fitting clothing & easy slip on shoes. No leggings, jeans, shorts or socks. Nothing that is tight fitting onto the skin otherwise it can transition into a tan line onto the freshly tanned skin.

Are the spray tan artist licensed?

Yes, all spray tan artists are required to have a valid in house certification, in-depth training & ongoing education.

Are the spray tan artist insured?

Yes, we require all of the professionals who are part of our platform to carry their own liability insurance.

Is booking a spray tan artist on this platform a safe option?

We pride ourselves on a platform built on trust & work hard to keep our clients safe. Our professionals are pre-screened, third party identity verification & background checked. .

What products will be are used during my service ?

We exclusively use WELLB® products from our sister company the wellb company.

Are the skin care products safe for sensitive skin?

Our standard are high when it comes to the products that we allow, your professional stocks certified organic skin care products to be used during the facials & body treatments. Certified Organic Skin care tends to be very gentle on the skin, even on the most sensitive of skins. If you have an allergy to a specific ingredient we recommend letting your professional know before hand.

What solution is used for the BAREglow service?

We use BAREglow BLEND 10, 12 & 14 from WELLB®. It is vegan friendly and the active ingredient is made up of natural DHA.
